13+ years into my career...
I still love what I do as much as I did on day one of my first job.
Somehow, every chapter has flowed into the next in a way that makes sense now... I've designed for publishing, fintech, enterprise SaaS, and AI, often ending up right where I needed to be, even when I didn't know it at the time.
I've worked directly with founders, investors, and product leaders, and as of late, coming in as a founding, 0 → 1 designer to help bring a product from idea to launch.
I can think like an engineer,
design like a storyteller,
and lead like a partner who wants everyone to feel proud of what we built together.
I care about my work, but I care just as much about the people building it alongside me and the people behind the screen using it.
If there's a throughline, it's that I love designing things that work, that people actually use.
How I got here
Boston
I started in publishing, completely reinventing the UX of static ebooks like Curious George into interactive digital stories.
That was the first time I understood how design could actually change how people experience something.
Boston → Austin
From there, I joined LevelUp, which later became part of GrubHub, and learned what it means to design for scale.
I started as a visual designer and eventually became a developer-designer hybrid, leading R&D for a white-label SDK that major restaurant brands still use today.
Austin
Next, at Atlassian, I learned what it takes to design for massive, global teams. I worked on Jira and Trello, shaping enterprise collaboration without losing the soul of the products.
I learned how to protect creativity inside structure and how to keep people connected while solving complex problems.
